Check co-op eligibility
Optional co-op admission can require a first-year transfer and program-specific eligibility. Mohawk says admission to a co-op program does not guarantee a position because the job search is competitive. Some opportunities require commuting, relocation, a driver's licence or vehicle access. Co-op fees apply after admission and are non-refundable.
Prepare for a competitive job search
Software Development has mandatory co-op in its program of study. It offers three work-term opportunities but requires two completed terms for the co-op designation. A Co-op Specialist can help refine resumés, prepare for interviews and support the search. That support does not replace program eligibility or employer selection.
Use career support after graduation
The Career Centre serves current students, recent graduates and alumni. Personalized advising continues for up to one year after the final term; alumni beyond that period can still view postings through CareerReady. Students and recent graduates book in-person or virtual adviser appointments through CareerReady for career planning and job-search preparation.
