For oversubscribed programs, Mohawk lists equal consideration by Feb. 1 for September starts and June 1 for January starts. It then ranks required-subject grades and may require portfolios, questionnaires or information sessions. Practical Nursing separately labels itself competitive and late release; its September 2026 intake is currently closed, while January and May 2027 show open.

Check the offer letter for the acceptance due date, then complete payment and registration through Mohawk's stated systems. Submit the documents and prerequisites on the individual program record. An open search status does not waive admission requirements, and a paid Ontario Colleges fee does not guarantee an offer.

Competitive selection uses the average of your highest senior-level final grades in the required courses. Some programs add more criteria, and meeting the minimum doesn't guarantee admission. Ontario residents get priority, then permanent residents of other provinces and territories. Late applications are considered only while space remains.

Mohawk is changing program codes for fall 2027 while keeping course content the same. When you apply on Ontario Colleges, select the code that matches your start term. Practical Nursing, for example, lists fall, winter and spring equal-consideration dates of February 1, June 1 and October 1. It recommends an 85% to 88% average in required courses to be competitive.

For September 2026 through April 2027, the single-payment rate is $9,500 due June 20, 2026. The two-payment option totals the same amount; the three-payment option totals $9,600 because it includes a $100 administration fee. Residence does not defer payment for OSAP, and fees remain subject to change.

A mandatory meal plan costs extra and is due with the first residence payment. Winter applicants pay half the full-year meal-plan fee. Applicants should confirm the current meal-plan option, move dates and cancellation terms. Students seeking other locations or a backup should compare off-campus provider identity, commute, lease period and inclusions before paying.

You choose one of four meal plans when you apply for residence, and it loads onto your ONE Card as a declining balance. Plans cost $2,875 to $3,740 for the year, split between meal plan funds and flex dollars. Meal plan funds are spent mostly at Fennell, including Mo's Restaurant in the residence. Unused funds expire at the end of the winter term.

With the manager's written permission, you can move in early or stay late for up to 14 days at $44.81 a night. Some programs start before move-in day or end after move-out day. Your Housing Portal account won't show payments due, so use the invoice emailed to you.

Counselling gives free, confidential, short-term, goal-directed psychotherapy. It is for students whose personal well-being or mental health affects academic success. It can also support students waiting for outpatient care. Use the booking route for routine support. Use the emergency resources named on the current page when you need immediate help.

Student Success Advising sends learners to academic advising, tutoring and library. It also sends them to testing and financial help. It sends them to Indigenous services and campus supports too. Availability and in-person locations differ. Contact the named service early. This matters when accommodations or preplacement clearance must be arranged. It matters before a test, clinical activity or work term.

Mohawk names two recreation facilities. They are the David Braley Athletic & Recreation Centre and the Stoney Creek Fitness Centre. Athletics & Recreation offers extramural, intramural and recreational opportunities. Mohawk's varsity teams operate from Fennell. Check the linked athletics site for current hours and membership information before you travel. The college page does not state one access rule for every student or campus.

Student Life lists events, volunteering and leadership routes. These include MoCrew, peer mentorship and community engagement. It also points students to Mohawk Students' Association clubs and athletics. Eligible involvement can be added to the Co-Curricular Record. This applies during the current academic year. Use the live opportunity and eligibility details. Do not assume every event or role qualifies.

Software Development has mandatory co-op in its program of study. It offers three work-term opportunities but requires two completed terms for the co-op designation. A Co-op Specialist can help refine resumés, prepare for interviews and support the search. That support does not replace program eligibility or employer selection.

The Career Centre serves current students, recent graduates and alumni. Personalized advising continues for up to one year after the final term; alumni beyond that period can still view postings through CareerReady.
