  • The University College plans include Starbucks We Proudly Serve espresso and brewed coffee.

How swipes work

  • Show your student ID at the Fresh Food Company. Each swipe is all-you-care-to-eat.
  • Weekly plans count meals from Saturday to Friday. Block plans such as 80 or 100 meals a term can be used any time but don't carry into the next term.
  • Meals are dine-in only. Single snack items like fruit or cookies can be taken to go.
  • Plans run through fall and winter breaks, sometimes with shorter hours, and expire at the end of April.
  • You can upgrade any time. Downgrades are allowed only until the change deadline, about two weeks after fall or winter move-in.

FoodBucks

FoodBucks work like cash on your student ID at UM Dining Services locations, including Tim Hortons, Starbucks, Subway and Popeyes. They don't work at outlets run by UMSU (the students' union) or the colleges. You can add them with or without a meal plan.

Unused FoodBucks carry from fall to winter but expire at the end of April. Top up at the Dining Office, 207 Pembina Hall, or by emailing dining@umanitoba.ca.

Allergies and off-campus students

For allergies or dietary needs, talk to Fresh Food Company managers or staff in the Purple Allergy Leader program. Students who don't live in residence can buy a voluntary meal plan through Dining Services, but it can't replace a required residence plan.
