What the rate includes
The George is a short walk from St. James and Waterfront. The rates page says its 2026–27 rates apply to full-time George Brown students and include utilities, local phone service, cable, internet and a furnished suite. The academic-year term runs September 5, 2026 to April 24, 2027; the agreement lists “2 BDRM SUITE” at $11,556.88 payable by the student by June 8, 2026 under the single-payment schedule.
Applying and cancelling
A residence application is separate from the academic application and may be submitted before program acceptance. The application fee is non-refundable. On withdrawal, the agreement charges the prorated cost of days occupied plus a cancellation fee. The academic-year cancellation bands are 5%, 15% or 25% of housing fees, with timing governed by the agreement. Read the signed agreement for the exact date bands before accepting an offer; food is not listed among the inclusions above.
Payment options for 2026–27
You can spread the academic-year fee across two or three payments, but each adds an administration fee. Option 2 is $7,009.88 due June 8, 2026 and $4,672 due November 9, 2026, including a $125 fee. Option 3 is $4,692.75 due June 8 and again September 21, 2026, then $2,346.38 due January 18, 2027, including a $175 fee. A winter-only stay from January 9, 2027 costs $5,778.44, due November 30, 2026.
Paying the right account
Pay residence fees to the separate “George Brown Polytechnic Residence” bill payee at your bank. The “George Brown Polytechnic” payee is for tuition only, so mixing them up can delay your payment. Rates for 2027–28 weren't posted when we checked on October 3, 2026.
