Check OSAP eligibility
OSAP is the public funding route for eligible Canadian citizens, permanent residents and protected persons who meet Ontario residency, academic-progress and program rules. George Brown lists full-time OSAP at 60% or more of a full course load. The threshold is 40% for a student with an OSAP-verified permanent disability. Part-time OSAP covers 20% to 59.99% in an eligible full-time program. Apply through OSAP for each school year, upload the documents listed in that application and monitor the OSAP account. George Brown confirms enrolment after the term begins, and a course-load, program, income or personal-status change can alter the assessment.
Apply for George Brown awards
George Brown institutional and faculty awards use STU-VIEW. For 2026–27, application deadlines are September 30, 2026 for Fall, January 31, 2027 for Winter and May 31, 2027 for Spring/Summer. Complete the Student Profile once for the academic year, then select and submit the available award applications each term. The portal only shows groups for which your registration, course load and declared identity indicate possible eligibility; the application must show Submitted by the deadline.
International students should use George Brown's international awards page as well as the STU-VIEW application route. Its listed opportunities have different rules. For example, the International Centre Student Bursary requires financial need and community involvement. The International Centre Student Scholarship lists full-time international status, financial need, a 2.5 minimum GPA and overcoming obstacles. Read the current criteria for the specific award because availability and conditions can change.
