George Brown now uses the George Brown Polytechnic name; program and service locations still need a program-level check.
George Brown now uses the name George Brown Polytechnic. Some older documents and stable web addresses still use the College name. George Brown identifies Casa Loma, St. James and Waterfront as its three campuses, while its locations directory also lists specialized sites. Your program page is the deciding source for where classes normally take place.

Applying to George Brown Polytechnic
Applicants choose an application route by applicant type; Ontario Colleges handles Canadian applicants and George Brown provides a separate international process.
Choose your application route
Canadian citizens and permanent residents apply through ontariocolleges.ca, whether they live inside or outside Canada. International applicants use George Brown's online application system. Check the international guide for the documents and payment steps required for your intake.
Check whether your program is still accepting applications before you apply. A late-admission window applies only to the intake named in the notice; it is not a deadline for every program or year.
Program requirements
For B126, the 2026–27 page lists an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, Grade 12 English C or U, and Grade 11 Mathematics C/M/U or Grade 12 Mathematics C/U. Mature applicants aged 19 or older without an OSSD may use the Admissions Assessment or upgrading. Minimums do not guarantee an offer; higher grades may be required.
Key dates for a September start
For September entry, Ontario Colleges can release George Brown offers from November 1, and most programs qualify for that early offer depending on when you apply. Apply by February 1 for equal consideration in highly competitive programs. After that date George Brown still considers applicants in order until programs fill. May 1 is the deadline to confirm a September offer.
Tuition deposit
To secure your seat, you pay a non-refundable tuition deposit before your first term of each academic year: $500 for domestic students and at least $2,000 for new international students. It counts toward your tuition rather than adding to it. The domestic deposit is due in mid-June for a September start, and your invoice and STU-VIEW account show the exact date.
Program availability and waitlists
The program availability page gives each intake a status: open, closed, waitlisted, suspended or opening soon. A waitlisted intake still accepts applications, and seats open up when accepted applicants decline or don't register. Lists for both 2026–27 and 2027–28 full-time programs were posted on October 3, 2026.
Application fee
One detail on George Brown's how-to-apply page is out of date: it still describes the domestic application fee change from $125 to $150 for the 2025–26 cycle. Ontario Colleges' own fee page is the current source for the $150 fee.

Compare program experience and delivery
The examples below span business, architecture, culinary arts, nursing and health technology. They show why campus and experience must be checked program by program. B126 lists optional Field Education, while T109 limits its Year 3 opportunity to a Divisional Select process. H100 includes a 14-week industry experience, and S318 describes clinical placements. T419’s Fall 2026 delivery row labels Semester 2 as Co-op.
Delivery labels are also intake-specific. For Fall 2026, B126 lists all six semesters on campus. T109 lists hybrid delivery for Semesters 1, 3 and 5. H100 lists hybrid delivery for Semesters 1 and 2, followed by co-op in Semester 3. These labels do not predict a later intake; check your selected year and starting term.
Read the fee estimate carefully
Program-page fee figures do not all use the same basis. Their footnotes may identify a first-two-semester estimate, prior-year inputs, separate books or equipment, and extra co-op charges. The 2026–27 viewbook likewise says its figures are based on 2025–26 fees. Build a budget from your current invoice and the exact program footnotes instead of comparing headline amounts as final totals.

Use STU-VIEW for student tasks
STU-VIEW is for new and current students. You can register for courses. You can add or drop courses. You can pay fees. You can update your contact information. You can apply for awards and transfer-credit exemptions. You can view timetables, unofficial transcripts, Academic Progress and invoices. George Brown's current registration guidance says students should pay the initial deposit. It says to check the registration window. It says to register through the Course Registration and Timetable card.
Find support and campus recreation
Support access depends on the task and your location. Accessible Learning Services accepts registration once a student has been admitted or is experiencing disability-related barriers. Counselling offers campus front desks at St. James, Casa Loma and Waterfront. But George Brown limits its own counselling appointments to currently registered students physically in Ontario. The Library Learning Commons provides borrowing, printing and technology help. First-year students are assigned a personal librarian.
Athletics and recreation facilities are listed at St. James, Casa Loma and Waterfront. Access is included in full-time student fees after annual student-card registration; the current page lists a per-semester charge for part-time students. George Brown states that it has no doctor on campus, so students should use a walk-in clinic for non-urgent medical care and emergency services for life-threatening conditions.

The announcement is not a credit agreement: it does not establish a destination program, minimum grade, guaranteed admission or fixed transfer credit.
