Separate co-op from career outcomes
Conestoga describes Computer Programming as preparation for business application development and lists roles such as computer programmer, web application developer, software tester and quality-control professional. The January 2027 Computer Programming and Analysis advanced diploma has an optional co-op route with four consecutive four-month work terms. All applicants enter the non-co-op program first. Consideration requires at least an 80% Year 1 weighted average and no more than one dropped or failed first-year course. Meeting that condition does not guarantee placement and does not apply to every Conestoga program.
Verify the named pathway
Conestoga’s pathways page names Computer Programming, an Ontario College Diploma, as an entry to Year 3 of its Bachelor of Computer Science. It also says pathway eligibility and credit details should be confirmed through the current ONTransfer record or a Credit Transfer Officer. That named Conestoga pathway does not establish a universal transfer outcome to every university. The college’s credit-transfer page says advanced standing and course exemptions depend on the receiving assessment and may require an application.
