Residence or off-campus housing

The residence at 99 Conestoga College Blvd. in Kitchener sits next to Kitchener-Doon. It's meant for students at Doon, Cambridge Fountain Street and the Skilled Trades Campus on Reuter Drive. Rates include utilities, internet, a phone with free North America-wide calling, a TV and a furnished suite.

Conestoga's off-campus housing is furnished apartments or townhomes shared with other Conestoga students, in Brantford, Milton and Waterloo. Rent includes hydro, water, heat and internet. You can apply before you're accepted to a program, but you must be a full-time registered Conestoga student by move-in.

Your housing account is separate from your tuition account. Don't tell your bank to pay Conestoga College for housing. Housing payments can't be deferred for OSAP.

Kitchener residence rates for 2026-27

The academic year runs from move-in on September 6, 2026 to move-out on April 24, 2027, or the day after your last exam if that's earlier. You choose an open-concept room or a room in a two-bedroom suite. The three-payment option includes a $150 administration fee in its last payment.

A separate payment plan costs an extra $200 administration fee. Contact residence management after you apply. Applying doesn't guarantee the plan. Conestoga says rates may change for future terms.

How to apply and what you pay first

Apply online through the residence's housing portal. You can apply before Conestoga accepts you into your program. Each application carries a $100 non-refundable application fee, paid when you submit.

The residence doesn't list a separate deposit. Your first payment is the first instalment in the rates table, due June 15, 2026 for the academic year. Offers for the academic year usually go out in May, and winter-term offers usually go out in November.

To live in residence, you must be a full-time student in good standing with your housing fees paid. If you withdraw from Conestoga, you'll have to leave residence. Early move-in of up to 14 days needs written permission and is charged nightly. An approved term extension costs $30 per night.

  • Your residence fees are payable to CLC Conestoga. Under the housing agreement, Campus Living Centres manages the residence for Conestoga.
  • For a room accommodation, email info@conestogaresidence.ca. You can also book a residence tour online.
  • Conestoga's $500 tuition deposit ($2,500 for international students) is separate from anything you pay the residence.

Rooms, suites and shared spaces

Each bedroom has a double bed, a desk and chair, a TV with cable, internet, a phone, a dresser and a closet. Each kitchenette has a microwave, a refrigerator, a prep area with a sink, and a table with two chairs. Bathrooms have a stand-up shower or a tub with a shower.

Shared spaces include a games room, a movie lounge, a cardio lounge, a kitchen lounge with stoves and a BBQ patio, study lounges and paid 24-hour laundry. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day, and common areas of each suite get light cleaning every two weeks.

You need to buy a parking permit to park at residence. The residence permit is $80 a month, $210 for one term or $365 for two terms, and it isn't valid at Kitchener-Doon.

Cancelling, winter break and refunds

If you cancel or withdraw, you're charged for the days you occupied the room plus a cancellation fee. The fee is a share of your total housing fees and rises as the term gets closer.

Over the December to January break, residence services such as custodial service and mail stop. You can still stay if you tell the residence in writing. Refunds are mailed by cheque within 10 weeks of moving out, so keep your address up to date.

Off-campus housing rents

These are the monthly rents Conestoga listed on September 30, 2026. At Brantford and 400B Albert St., rent follows the Standard Ontario Lease. You pay last month's rent as a deposit when you sign, then first month's rent on move-in day.

The 60 University Ave. East page still showed 2025-26 payment schedules when we checked, so ask the housing office for the current rate before you apply. Off-campus housing questions go to info@conestogaoffcampus.ca or 519-574-9656.

  • At 60 University Ave. East, you're about a 4-minute walk from the Waterloo campus.

Food, kitchens and Condor Cash

Neither the residence page nor Conestoga's food services page lists a meal plan. At residence, you cook in your kitchenette or the shared kitchen lounge. On campus, you pay at each outlet.

You can load Condor Cash onto your ONE Card and spend it at Doon's Tim Hortons, The Venue and Pita Pit, The Reuter Market at the Skilled Trades Campus, and Bloom in Waterloo. Parents can load it through the ONE Card portal too. Hours below were posted when we checked and can change without notice.
