Book a group study room

You book rooms online by campus. Doon, Cambridge, the Skilled Trades Campus, Guelph, Milton Parkhill and Waterloo all have bookable meeting rooms.

Demand is high, so most rooms can be booked for the same day only, for up to 2 hours per group per day. Groups that stay longer may be asked to leave.

  • Rooms are for academic work only, such as group projects and practising presentations.
  • You need at least two people per booking. Testing Services and TMT Lab spaces allow single users.
  • If your group doesn't show up within 10 minutes and another group wants the room, your booking is cancelled.

Quiet and silent study at Doon

The west end of the Doon library has a quiet study section for close to 70 people. It has 40 study carrels, 24 perimeter seats with power for laptops and 8 lounge seats by the windows. Keep conversations to a whisper and mute your phone.

The Silent Study Room seats close to 50, mostly at individual carrels. It stays open after hours when the library is closed but the campus is open. Free earplugs are available at the Information and Research Desk.

At Cambridge Fountain Street, the Library Resource Room, A1109, has about six individual study desks with power.

Borrowing, tech help and printing

Full-time students borrow with their ONE Card. Part-time students without one can ask for a library card at an Information and Research Desk.

Tech Representatives help with printing, Wi-Fi, eConestoga, Microsoft 365 and installing college software. They coach you rather than give you answers.

Your ONE Card also releases print jobs. You get a print balance each term that resets if unused. Once it runs out, printing comes off your Condor Cash.
