The Student Recreation Centre

The Student Recreation Centre is at 299 Doon Valley Drive on the Kitchener-Doon campus. Conestoga's Athletics and Recreation department says it has multiple gymnasiums, a fitness centre and an indoor running track.

The Recreation Centre floor plan Conestoga posts, dated May 2018, also labels a North Gym, a South Gym, squash courts and a wellness centre. Rooms may have changed since that plan was drawn.

Bring indoor athletic shoes. The Condors Recreation Portal says they're required in the gyms, the fitness centre and the multi-purpose rooms.

Who gets in and who pays

Full-time, fee-paying students at Kitchener-Doon and Cambridge Fountain Street pay a compulsory recreation and athletic fee. It helps fund intercollegiate and intramural athletics and gives you access to the Doon Recreation Centre for the academic year.

If you're a full-time student at another campus, you don't pay that fee. You can buy a student membership at a rate equal to the athletic fee, or buy a day pass. Memberships are sold at the Recreation Centre desk.

Your ONE Card opens the building once you have a valid membership. You sign in to the Condors Recreation Portal with your Conestoga Condor ID to register for programs.

Recreation programs

Athletics and Recreation runs intramural sports, fitness classes, student events, esports leagues and tournaments, wellness workshops and instructional fitness programs. Browse and register for current offerings in the Condors Recreation Portal, which also posts the drop-in schedule.

Varsity Condors

Conestoga has 13 varsity teams and competitive esports teams, according to its Athletics and Recreation department. The Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) lists Conestoga among its member colleges.

We couldn't open the Condors athletics website when we checked, so this guide doesn't list individual teams, tryout dates or schedules. Check conestogacondors.ca or ask the Condors desk before tryouts.
