Ontario applicants need six Grade 12 U or M courses. This must include ENG4U. They also need a minimum 65% admission average. UWinnipeg calculates the out-of-province average from English plus the two highest academic admission courses. But programs in Science, Business, Economics, and Mathematics add exact senior-course prerequisites.

Human Rights, inner-city learning, Science, and Education
UWinnipeg is especially distinctive when the city becomes part of the curriculum. Global College connects Human Rights to local and international practicums. Urban and Inner-City Studies teaches primarily from Merchants Corner in the North End. Science students can combine laboratory disciplines in programs such as Neuroscience and Biochemistry. Integrated Education joins two degrees over five years.

Integrated Education
Students work toward a BA, BSc, or Kinesiology degree and a BEd across five years. Classroom placements begin in second year.

Athletic Therapy
A CATA-accredited four-year BSc enhanced major with field and clinical experience.
Selection: It is not direct entry. Students must complete 60 prescribed credit hours first. This includes required grades and a 3.0 GPA (grade point average). Then they apply.
Urban and Inner-City Studies
This is a place-based interdisciplinary BA. It is taught largely at Merchants Corner in Winnipeg's North End. It has certificate, minor, and practicum options.
Selection: General admission applies; the curriculum connects urban theory with community-engaged learning.
Applied and joint programs
UWinnipeg and RRC Polytech combine academic and applied study in some routes. These routes include Disability Studies, joint communications, and applied environmental science.
Selection: Several use a March 1 deadline and program-specific requirements. So do not treat the general July date as universal.

McFeetors Hall, Balmoral Houses, and furnished apartments
McFeetors is the full-service dorm choice. It has single and double units priced together with an eligible meal plan. Balmoral offers private bedrooms in shared houses. Furnished two- and three-bedroom McFeetors apartments give students another shared-living option.
Priority is not a guarantee
The international viewbook describes first-year housing priority. It applies to applications submitted by May 1. Campus Living separately says offers continue based on availability. The accepted-student page warns that accommodation may not remain after June 1. Keep a backup until a room offer is accepted and the deposit is paid.
