Burman publishes no undergraduate application deadline for any cycle. Its live academic-dates page still runs only through the 2026–2027 year, ending with a Winter 2027 last day of classes on April 12, and its current calendar edition is the 2026/27 Academic Calendar. The only Fall 2027 date Burman prints anywhere is on the offer-of-admission page, which lets an admitted student defer to September 2027/28.

Do not wait for a Burman deadline announcement that may never come. The binding Fall 2027 date for most applicants is the February 1 Early Admission Tuition Scholarship cut-off, and international applicants should assume an early-May document and financial-clearance date by analogy with May 8, 2026.

Probationary students may not withdraw from any course in their first semester, and failing a course or missing the Admissions Committee's conditions may lead to academic dismissal. Students normally transfer in the Winter term of second year and receive a 25% Kettering tuition discount for two academic years after transfer. A one-credit discrepancy between the website and the calendar decides whether you transfer on time. Get the sequence confirmed by the Program Advisor in writing.

Automatic admission to the SWAU BSN needs a cumulative 3.0 or higher, prerequisite courses passed at C or better, and all SWAU admission requirements met. Completing the Burman certificate and meeting SWAU's criteria brings a 25% tuition discount and eligibility for merit and general scholarships.

The calendar states both 42 and 46 Burman credits for the same agreement in the same paragraph. Treat the credit total as unconfirmed until the Program Advisor resolves it.

A BSN earned in Ohio or Texas requires separate US study authorization and a separate registration process to practise in Canada. The calendar's only financing warning is about Canadian student loans and foreign study—licensure planning is on you.

Riverton has a shared full kitchen and no required meal plan.

Budget the higher $2,175 figure. The no-refund-at-year-end rule matters more than the $75 gap: money left on the plan in April is gone.

The Academic Calendar requires a minimum academic load of 9 semester credits, a 2.00 term GPA with no grade lower than C in the most recent completed term, and a cumulative 2.00 GPA to travel with promotional tours or mission service trips.

Burman does not publish which of these teams are varsity as opposed to club or intramural. If athletic scholarship eligibility matters, confirm the team's competitive status with the Athletic Director.

Option 1 is billed at $2,175 in the first month of each term and covers roughly 10 meals a week at an average of $9 each.

A mandatory vegetarian meal plan is a real fit question, not a footnote. Roughly 10 meals a week also means you are buying the rest yourself.

Each year students register through the Record of Hours form, attend a semester informational meeting, accumulate a minimum 20 cumulative hours in volunteer, leadership, team, certificate, or outreach activities, document participation, obtain supervisor verification, and submit a reflection by mid-April. Graduates receive a Burman Advantage Certificate and pin.

Twenty hours a year is a low bar, and the certificate is Burman-issued rather than externally recognised. Treat it as a structuring device for your own record, not as a credential employers already know.

The calendar states that institutions will generally evaluate any Burman course for transfer, but only courses listed in the Alberta Transfer Guide receive automatic transfer. Burman uses the Alberta Common Grading Scale, also called the Alpha 4.00 scale.
