Bishop's University Residences: 2026-27 Rent Compared
Bishop's University in Sherbrooke (Lennoxville) guarantees residence to first-year students who apply on time. Rent is charged monthly over an 8-month lease. For 2026-27 it runs from $625 a month ($5,000 a year) for a double in Mackinnon, Pollack or Bandeen to $925 a month ($7,400) for a single in Janyne Hodder, the newest hall. A meal plan is required in every hall except Paterson.

2026-27 room rent
Rent includes internet, electricity, furniture, services and incidental fees of $70 a month. Laundry is included too. Meal plans are extra: $6,832 to $7,000 for the year.

The halls
- Bog style (Abbott, Kuehner, Munster): two rooms share a bathroom. Munster has 24/7 quiet hours; Kuehner is closest to the sports centre.
- Janyne Hodder: opened in 2023 on the bog model, with a private room for each student, a zen lounge and accessible units.
- Traditional (Mackinnon, Pollack, Bandeen): in the Quad at the centre of campus, closest to downtown Lennoxville. Mackinnon houses about 115 residents.
- Paterson: suites with four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen and a living room. No meal plan required.
- Every hall has 24/7 communal kitchens, study spaces and common areas. You can request a roommate.
Paying rent
- Rent is due on the first of each month. After the 10th, a $25 late fee applies.
- International students pay the rest of the semester's rent by the course add/drop date.
- Pay online by adding Bishop's University Residence as a payee with your student number, or in person at the Residence Office in Paterson Hall.
- Your room is yours for the whole year; you don't move out in December unless you're a 4-month exchange student.
