Regular day-division DCS applicants apply through SRAM. Choose one program at one SRAM CEGEP per round. Fall Round 1 closes March 1 at 11:59 p.m.; Winter Round 1 closes November 1 at 11:59 p.m. These are Vanier’s recurring dates, not a confirmed future offer of a place. Fall 2026 Round 1 has passed. Winter applications normally open in mid-September; check the available programs and current round before applying.

For Quebec secondary applicants, the general requirement is a DES completed before starting college. Vanier considers Secondary IV provincial exam results, Secondary V grades and program prerequisites. Estimated historical cutoffs do not guarantee admission. Missing prerequisites may call for Springboard; occasional conditional summer completion is assessed individually.

Out-of-province schooling is assessed by province. Vanier lists Grade 11 routes with province-specific credit requirements; its Ontario example requires at least 22 credits. Do not assume that every applicant must first finish Grade 12. Check the official equivalencies for your program and ask Admissions about any required mathematics or science assessment.

Out-of-province applicants must upload an accepted French test result at B2 or above to SRAM before the deadline. Results are valid for two years. Vanier lists Bright, TCF tout public, DELF tout public B2, DALF and TEF, with required components and exclusions. TCF Québec/Canada and TEF Express/Québec/Canada are not accepted for this admission requirement.

Vanier’s international page says applicants abroad without Canadian status have been ineligible since Winter 2025. It directs applicants with valid status in Canada to the regular SRAM route and refers to Secondary IV/V schooling in Quebec. Confirm how your status and school record fit that policy with Admissions before paying.

For international applicants who finished secondary school outside Quebec, Vanier lists French B2 testing, with an exemption for applicants from France who completed secondary studies in French. Its English admission test requirement ended in Winter 2025; admitted students still take an English placement test. Admission, placement and graduation language rules serve different purposes.

A Certificate of Eligibility for instruction in English is not required to attend CEGEP. In oversubscribed programs, Vanier gives qualifying certificate holders the majority of Round 1 offers, then considers academic merit for remaining offers. In later rounds, qualified certificate holders are considered first, subject to space. Priority does not guarantee admission.

Continuing Education uses separate application and registration rules. New evening DCS applicants, returning students and ACS applicants should follow that division’s guide; the regular day-division round dates above do not cover every route.
