DEC routes
Vanier College study routes
Vanier lists pre-university and career programs that lead to a Diploma of College Studies, plus transition profiles for missing prerequisites.
Vanier lists 22 pre-university and 16 career programs leading to a Diploma of College Studies (DEC/DCS). Pre-university routes prepare students for university; career programs also prepare students for a profession. Four double-DCS options lead to two diplomas over three years. The receiving university still decides admission to a particular degree.
Springboard Prerequisites is a one-semester route for students who have not taken required secondary science or mathematics courses. It is preparation toward a later DEC application, not a DEC itself, and admission to the later program remains a separate decision.
Checked
| Route | Use |
|---|---|

| Career / technical | Professional preparation; program length and prerequisites vary |
| Springboard | Complete missing prerequisites before applying to a target DEC |
Decision checklist
- Name your intended university or work direction.
- Read the exact profile and admission requirements.
