Building Brighter FuturesIndspireAnywhere in Canada
Who can apply and steps

One application considers First Nations, Inuit and Métis learners for many scholarships, bursaries and awards. Most applicants need at least a 60% course load, or 40% with a disability-related accommodation; only select agreements support other part-time study.

  1. Confirm your course load, proof of Indigenous registration and financial need; merit-only opportunities are very limited
  2. Provide official proof of active course registration; an acceptance letter can only serve as a temporary placeholder
  3. Submit one application as early as possible; a complete unsuccessful application carries forward to later 2026–27 consideration dates

Timing, as the provider states it: 2026–27 consideration dates: August 1, November 1 and February 1 at 11:59 p.m. EST, as stated by Indspire; applications remain open through February 1, 2027

How to read these dates

Each date is the next one the provider has published. It might be the application deadline, a school nomination date or the day references are due. The label in the table says which.

Closing times and time zones vary, and some awards close at noon. Check the official page and aim to submit a few days early.

Awards without a fixed date

Many entrance scholarships have no single deadline. You're considered when you apply for admission, so they aren't on this page. Run the Scholarship Finder to see them, or browse by group: Black students, Indigenous students, international students and Ontario Grade 12.

How this list works

Every award here comes from the same checked list as our Scholarship Finder. Each record links to the provider's own page and shows the day we last checked it. We never copy award details from aggregator sites.

Awards that are closed for this cycle are left out of the tables. They come back when the provider posts new dates. Dates refresh on their own, so a passed date drops off the page.

A listing isn't a promise that you qualify. Each provider sets its own rules and picks its own winners. Read the official page before you apply.
