Applicant and student tasks in MyNSCC
MyNSCC keeps applicant tasks separate from enrolled-student tasks. As an applicant, you can check your application status. You can accept or decline an offer. You can pay the tuition deposit or tuition. You can manage To Do items. You can read communications. You can review charges or payments. Use the portal status together with the actual admission letter or message. That letter or message controls the response and deposit deadline.

Students can update contact details and view a weekly schedule. They can pay tuition and review charges and payments. They can open an unofficial transcript. They can find faculty-adviser information. They can access the T2202A tuition certificate. So some functions appear only after the relevant application or enrolment stage. A missing student tool does not by itself show that an application is incomplete.
Account access
New users should follow NSCC’s Getting Started guidance linked from MyNSCC. If a password is forgotten, NSCC directs users to its self-service Password Management tool. Use the Service Desk for a technical access problem that self-service does not resolve, and do not send a password or verification code when requesting help.
Where to find support
NSCC's student-support directory has accessibility services. It has wellness and counselling, learning support and libraries. It has technical support and cultural supports too. When you need help, ask the service about booking. Ask about documentation or response arrangements as well.
Counselling and wellness
Professional counselling is free and confidential for NSCC students. It is in one-on-one sessions. These cover academic, career and personal concerns. Examples are anxiety, depression, substance use or relationships. Culturally responsive counselling is available for Mi'kmaw and Indigenous students. It is also available for Black and African Nova Scotian students. Students enrolled in the health plan also get free virtual counselling. This is through a Student Assistance program.
Student associations and cultural supports
Every full- or part-time student is automatically a member of their campus Student Association. NSCC has 15 of them, and each is led by an elected student committee. They run orientation events, social activities, fundraising and sports and recreation. The Office of L'nu Student Success supports Mi'kmaw and Indigenous students. African Nova Scotian and Black students have their own tutoring, counselling and awards connections.
