Saint-Lambert: applications and documents

Saint-Lambert: Champlain Saint-Lambert uses its own online application system, not SRAM. Its admissions page lists March 1 for fall and November 1 for winter, with winter entry limited to selected programs. The page still displays the past Fall 2026 opening date and links a 2027–28 guide. Check the selected intake before treating an old opening date as a new deadline.

The basic Quebec requirement is a Diploma of Secondary Studies; applicants educated elsewhere follow separate equivalency and document rules. The admissions page lists June 1 for evaluation documents from international and out-of-province applicants, and August 1 for specified diplomas and post-acceptance documents. These are different document stages, not interchangeable deadlines. Follow the dates and requested records in your admission letter. Program prerequisites may require testing.

Saint-Lambert: French requirements and COE priority

For applicants educated outside Quebec, Champlain asks for evidence of at least 180 hours of French instruction. The same page says applicants may choose to submit TFI or TCF tout-public results for evaluation. It does not promise that a test result automatically replaces the instruction requirement: confirm the accepted evidence with Admissions. Additional testing fees may apply. The assessment can require French upgrading outside Champlain, for example at an adult education centre or another CEGEP.

A Certificate of Eligibility for instruction in English (COE) is not required to apply. Qualifying COE holders receive early-admission priority, with academic record and available seats affecting offers. Other qualified applicants are considered afterward where space remains. COE holders not admitted to their first choice may be offered another available program. Priority is not guaranteed admission.

The college’s Law 14 FAQ, updated October 2024, describes five courses in French over the program from Fall 2024, including three additional courses. The table distinguishes those published streams. Placement for certificate holders uses high-school French marks; check the current grid for your program and cohort.

Quebec: the qualified EUF exemption

The Ministry’s linked EUF exemption form covers a specific exception for an English-taught DEC. Applicants must reside or have resided on an Indian reserve, an Indigenous-community settlement, or Category I/I-N land. They must also have at least one year of elementary or secondary instruction in English, an Indigenous language, or both. Indigenous identity alone is not the stated test. If approved, the student takes the English ministerial exam instead of the French exam. The December 2023 form recommends applying at least one month before the college application; ask Admissions about the current form and placement before registration.

Lennoxville: SRAM and admission requirements

Lennoxville: apply through SRAM and select “Champlain College: Lennoxville Campus, English Cégep” and your program. Upload required documents and pay the published $30 non-refundable SRAM application fee before the deadline. Most Quebec applicants do not need to upload documents. The campus lists different first-round dates for international applicants; do not substitute the general March 1 date printed on a program page for your applicant-category deadline. Later rounds depend on available places.

Lennoxville’s basic Quebec routes are a DES, a qualifying DEP with Secondary V instruction-language and second-language courses plus Secondary IV mathematics, or education the college considers equivalent. Program prerequisites still apply. Its out-of-province page requires at least Grade 11 French second language and strongly recommends Grade 12; provincial school/credit conditions vary. Ask Admissions to assess your own record rather than importing Saint-Lambert’s 180-hour rule.

Lennoxville: language courses and admission priority

Lennoxville’s Law 14 page says COE holders receive priority when first-round program demand exceeds spaces. In later oversubscribed rounds, its listed order is Eastern Townships COE holders and Indigenous applicants; applicants to programs needing sufficient enrolment; other COE holders; then other applicants according to their files. Minimum requirements still apply and priority does not guarantee admission.

For Lennoxville, the published language plan gives COE holders two French second-language courses, two program courses in French and one complementary course in French; their exit exam is English. Students without a COE take three French literature courses and two program courses in French, preparing for the EUF. Confirm your program grid and any approved Ministry exemption with the campus. The specific Indigenous EUF exemption described above requires its own eligibility assessment; it is not automatic.

St. Lawrence: direct applications

St. Lawrence: submit a day-program application through its own portal, not SRACQ. The admissions page gives March 1 for fall and November 1 for winter, but still marks Fall 2026 and Winter 2026 applications closed. Treat those as published annual dates, not proof that the next intake is open. Upload the records listed for your Quebec secondary, post-secondary, out-of-province or international route and pay the fees before the deadline.

St. Lawrence: language assessments and exemptions

St. Lawrence lists a $30 non-refundable application fee, a $35 English assessment fee and an additional $75 non-refundable transcript evaluation for out-of-province and international applicants. Its admissions page exempts applicants from an English educational institution in Quebec from the English assessment; the Fall 2026 fee PDF uses the narrower wording “Québec English high school”. If your exemption depends on earlier post-secondary study, confirm it and the fee treatment with Admissions. The page says the one-hour assessment does not determine admission, but a low result can lead to a preparatory course, exchange or approved learning plan.

St. Lawrence’s French-test exemptions cover COE holders and applicants who spent their last three school years at a Quebec high school. They also cover a French-language high school elsewhere in Canada or a school in France, Belgium or Monaco with instruction in French. Other applicants must meet a listed test threshold. Results must be no more than two years old and include written expression; written-comprehension results alone are insufficient. TEF Express is not accepted, and the BRIGHT route requires Writing Solutions.
