Read the renewal rule before you accept

Each award sets its own rule. Most ask for a minimum average each year and a full course load. Some check every term. Miss the rule once and the award may stop for good.

Write the rule in your calendar for the end of each year, and ask your faculty early if a hard term puts it at risk.

  • Note the average you need and how the school calculates it.
  • Check whether dropping a course or switching programs ends the award.

Compare the four-year total

A renewable $3,000 award can be worth more over four years than a one-time $10,000 award. The tables show each amount as the provider states it, so check whether it's per year or in total.

Our automatic entrance scholarships page has the one-year awards too, and scholarships worth $10,000 or more lists the largest.

How this list works

Every award here comes from the same checked list as our Scholarship Finder. Each record links to the provider's own page and shows the day we last checked it. We never copy award details from aggregator sites.

Awards that are closed for this cycle are left out of the tables. They come back when the provider posts new dates. Dates refresh on their own, so a passed date drops off the page.

A listing isn't a promise that you qualify. Each provider sets its own rules and picks its own winners. Read the official page before you apply.
