UdeM co-op, internships, and career experience

UdeM does not use one university-wide co-op structure. Work experience is attached to the program and orientation. Computer Science’s current COOP path is a concrete example; an internship listed in another degree can be optional, required, research-based, clinical, or unavailable in a particular term.

Computer Science COOP

Three mandatory company internship terms alternate with full-time study. Students select the orientation from the second term and follow its prescribed sequence.

General and Honor routes

General Computer Science offers flexible upper-year choices, while Honor adds graduate-level courses and a credited research project. Neither should be described as the same three-term COOP sequence.
