Compare program structures

SAIT program structures vary substantially by credential. A four-year business degree can end with a practicum-or-capstone choice. A health diploma can require clinical placements away from Calgary. A short pre-employment trades certificate can lead toward apprenticeship, with employer training hours completed separately. Compare the exact program page before treating one SAIT example as a school-wide pattern.

Review Information Technology Services in detail

Information Technology Services is a 60-credit, 20-course SAIT diploma designed as four semesters over two years. Students need a 2.0 PGPA and/or CGPA each semester plus prerequisite completion to progress, and a 2.0 CGPA with all courses passed to graduate.

Applicants educated in Canada need English proficiency and the stated mathematics and English courses. Mathematics requires at least 50% in Math 30-1 or 60% in Math 30-2. English requires at least 55% in English Language Arts 30-1 or 60% in English Language Arts 30-2. Applicants educated outside Canada need English proficiency and an international document assessment proving the requirements.

After first year, the program offers an optional work term; second year includes a capstone project course. The page also names a pathway to Griffith University’s Bachelor of Information Technology: successful graduates may receive up to 45 credits (1.5 years), subject to Griffith’s conditions and the current pathway terms. Griffith’s degree is three years and lists February and July intakes. Neither the work term nor the pathway should be treated as automatic.

The program page’s 2026–27 estimate uses the suggested schedule. Domestic tuition is $9,810 per year, with additional fees of $1,764.50 per year. The listed two-year total is $23,149. For international students, the listed $52,309 total uses the recommended course load. SAIT says the admission letter may show a higher amount, which becomes the program’s maximum tuition guarantee for that 2026/27 entry.

SAIT describes Information Technology Services as available to international students either as a stand-alone program or in a bundle. Confirm the exact intake availability before paying; a published international price does not show that a seat is available. Books and supplies are approximately $1,000 per full-time year, and the program has power-user device requirements.
