Canadian citizens, permanent residents and refugees in Canada apply through ApplyAlberta. The current domestic application fee is $120. International applicants, including temporary residents without permanent or refugee status, apply through SAIT’s Virtual Admissions System; the application fee is $175. Domestic applicants submit a separate application for each program, while international applicants may choose up to two programs in one application.
Before applying, check the exact program’s requirements and intake. SAIT says official transcripts or other evidence must show that requirements are met. International applicants should also review English proficiency and international document-assessment instructions. Applications can fill or close early, so use the current intake table and program page rather than assuming a general deadline.
As checked September 12, Fall 2026 applications were closed. For Winter 2027, SAIT listed October 23, 2026 as the domestic close and October 30, 2026 as the international close. Spring 2027 listed April 30, 2027 for domestic and February 5, 2027 for international applications.
For Fall 2027, whose general term starts September 1, SAIT lists domestic applications opening October 7, 2026 and closing June 30, 2027. International applications opened August 4, 2026, while the closing date remains to be announced. These are general dates for most programs: a program can fill or close early, health programs may use different dates, and Open Studies or Academic Upgrading do not follow this application schedule.
Checked 2026-09-12
