Compare day and Continuing Education fees
John Abbott lists $162 per semester for a regular full-time day student: $20 registration, $25 educational support, $72 student services and $45 student association. It lists $41 per course plus $2 per course hour for a part-time day student. Fees can change yearly, so the current invoice controls.
Continuing Education uses a separate five-column table. For Quebec residents it lists $2 per course hour for part-time DEC or Career Development Studies, no tuition for full-time DEC, full-time AEC or part-time AEC, and $6 per course hour for Independent Studies. Non-Quebec tuition is $9.40 per course hour in the part-time and Independent Studies columns and $1,926 per semester in the full-time DEC and AEC columns. International tuition is $36.83–$57.11 per course hour in every column, with program variation and change warnings.
For the Fall 2026 acceptance cycle, John Abbott listed an additional $1,780 per semester for students who did not qualify for Quebec resident status. This is a cycle-scoped, latest-available figure. Confirm Quebec resident classification and the next term's invoice before budgeting it.
Use the correct aid and bursary route
John Abbott's Financial Assistance Services directs eligible full-time students to Quebec loans and bursaries. New admits are told to apply when forms become available, with institution code 935000; the amount depends on the applicant and, where applicable, parent or spouse income. Students from another province are directed to CanLearn for government aid.
The Foundation's awards are selective and program-specific. One example is the $500 Barbara Baudinet Paramedic Bursary for a full-time or deemed full-time Paramedic student in good standing. Applicants must demonstrate financial need and French fluency and submit an introduction letter about their interest in Paramedic studies. Funds are distributed in the winter semester. Read the current award notice rather than treating it as a general new-entrant award.
