The art-and-design cost the fee schedule excludes
2026-27 · Latest published information; newer cycle not yet confirmed
Every OCAD U undergraduate fee schedule carries the same footnote: 'Total fees due do not include program and/or course related fees.' The one program-related cost OCAD U does publish is the mandatory Laptop Program fee, which ranges from $230.00 to $406.00 for 2026-27 depending on program and year of entry — for example $406.00 for Experimental Animation, $305.00 for Digital Futures, and $237.00 for the BFA Honours programs. About 60% covers software licensing including Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office, and LinkedIn Learning; about 40% covers IT Help Desk support, loaner laptops, dongles, and adapters. Fees are charged in both the Fall and Winter terms.
OCAD U does not publish a studio materials or art-supply budget. Course and material charges are billed on registration and are additional to everything in the fee schedule, so ask the specific program what a year of materials costs before setting a budget.
