Saskatchewan Polytechnic teaches in Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Regina and Saskatoon, with online or mixed delivery in selected programs. Campus is part of the program choice. Business Information Systems is listed at Moose Jaw and Regina, and Computer Engineering Technology at Moose Jaw. Culinary Arts is in all four campus cities. Practical Nursing has campus and online options with required in-person activity.

Read the exact program location and delivery notes before you apply. The online option for Practical Nursing still requires scheduled labs, seminars and clinical experiences in Regina or Saskatoon. This is usually two or three times per week each semester. It also requires approved invigilation for exams. So online study does not remove travel or campus obligations.

FQFA and competitive admission routes
Most Sask Polytech programs use First Qualified/First Admitted (FQFA), with program-specific prerequisites.
First Qualified/First Admitted
Most Sask Polytech programs use First Qualified/First Admitted. FQFA applications open September 1 each year, and offer order follows the date an applicant fully meets the requirements. Business Information Systems requires Grade 12 with any 30-level mathematics course or the ICTC FIT certificate, plus the English Language Requirement. Alternative assessment may apply, but some specific requirements still must be met.
Competitive Practical Nursing
Practical Nursing uses competitive admission, not FQFA. It opens October 1 each academic year. Accepted students must meet clinical-entry conditions. These include a criminal record and vulnerable-sector check, first aid and BLS-HCP CPR, immunization records and N95 mask testing. A practicum agency can decline access based on the record check. This can prevent completion of the program.
Fees and deposits
The application fee is non-refundable. It is $100 domestic or $150 international. It applies to each program-and-location application. After acceptance, the tuition deposit is non-refundable. It is $600 for domestic applicants. It is $5,000 for an international applicant's first program. It is $2,500 for a subsequent program. Bundled programs assess those amounts at the corresponding program stage. Use the offer and applicant portal for the actual payment deadline.
Getting an earlier start
Under FQFA, your place in line is the date you fully qualify. It is not the date you apply. So sending documents early can mean starting in an earlier intake. Sponsored programs and programs for specific groups do not take applications year-round. They do not keep an application pool. Several part-time programs use a separate application form instead of the main Apply now button. These include Early Childhood Education and Continuing Care Assistant part-time delivery.

Business Information Systems and co-op timing
Business Information Systems is still the detailed technology example. It is a 64-week diploma at Moose Jaw and Regina. It covers software, infrastructure, databases and business systems. Its co-operative education concentration offers paid work terms between Semesters 3 and 4. The published full-time, on-campus schedule places Semester 3 in September to December. Then come work terms in January to April, May to August and the next September to December. Semester 4 then runs January to April in Year 3. So the 64-week academic length does not mean the co-op concentration ends within two calendar years. Confirm the concentration and placement requirements before budgeting.
Engineering, nursing and culinary examples
Computer Engineering Technology is a 76-week, three-year Moose Jaw diploma. It has five academic semesters and three mandatory four-month paid co-op terms. Practical Nursing combines theory, labs and clinical learning under competitive admission. Culinary Arts is a 64-week diploma offered in all four campus cities. It requires Grade 12, age 18 by the start date and English evidence. It may support apprenticeship credit, subject to the apprenticeship authority's decision.

More about costs and financial aid
For 2026–27 student awards, Sask Polytech requires a student ID, an admission offer and a paid seat deposit. Unless an award says otherwise, students must be enrolled at least 60% of a full course load, or 40% for students with a disability. The listed application windows are July 15–September 15, 2026; October 1–31, 2026; and January 10–February 15, 2027. Apprenticeship and Saskatoon Adult Basic Education have separate windows. Dates may change, and an award application does not guarantee funding.
Withdrawal steps depend on the study category and timing. A program applicant who withdraws before starting uses the applicant route to notify Enrolment Services; after a program starts, the student must notify the program head. A no-show at the start of a program counts as notice of withdrawal, while non-attendance does not count as notice for a Continuing Education course. Refund eligibility and deductions depend on the program and deadline. Co-op fee refunds differ before the preceding academic term, before the work-term withdrawal deadline and after it; no co-op tuition refund is granted after that deadline. Co-op, careers and further study
The program Business Information Systems offers a co-op option that is published. It also offers a transfer option that still needs individual confirmation.
