Use Grande Prairie housing only

The Grande Prairie housing complex is east of the main campus near Bear Creek and houses 362 students. NWP describes 89 four-person units, two wheelchair-accessible units and nine family units. Furnished shared units include kitchen appliances, living-area furniture, extra-long twin beds, desks and shared bathrooms; the buildings connect to the NWP network. Confirm the assigned unit and accessibility fit in the actual offer rather than inferring either from a general description.

Compare current academic-year options

For the 2026–27 academic year, occupancy runs from August 30, 2026 to April 24, 2027. The compact table keeps each housing component on its own row. Shared-housing full-year payments and first instalments are due August 15 at 5:00 pm. Second instalments are due November 15 at 5:00 pm. Family housing has one payment due August 15 at 5:00 pm. The source table does not print a year beside these payment dates, so this guide does not infer one. Instalments cost more because the first payment includes an administration fee.

Budget every required charge

Before acceptance into housing, the page lists a $50 non-refundable application fee and a $200 security deposit. Academic-year residents also pay a $60 non-refundable activity fee. The security deposit is refundable after move-out if the account is current and the room or unit is clean and undamaged. These charges sit outside the room amounts in the table and should remain separate in a budget.

Check contract dates and family priority

Family housing is limited to nine partially furnished four-bedroom townhouses for full-time students with children. All utilities are included in family-housing rent; the source does not extend that statement to shared housing. The published application deadline is April 30, references are required, and assignments are made by the end of May with priority for returning student-parents and out-of-town applicants with children. Availability is limited, so an application is not a housing guarantee. The obsolete Fairview housing capture is retained only to document the source conflict created by the campus closure.
