Certificate, diploma, university studies and upgrading applicants identify the program, verify its requirements and apply through ApplyAlberta. The published non-refundable application fee is $80 for new and returning domestic students and $150 for international students. Submission and payment do not establish admission. Keep the application confirmation, fee receipt, requested-document record and admission decision as separate evidence.

Academic requirements are program-specific. The requirements page also states that all applicants must demonstrate English-language proficiency. Mature admission may be available for some programs, typically for applicants who are 21 or older on the first day of classes. The specific program page controls whether that route exists and what it requires. Out-of-province applicants must present Alberta equivalents for the high-school subjects required by their chosen program.

International applicants are advised to apply four to six months before the semester start. NWP says it typically stops issuing new Letters of Acceptance and provincial attestation letters ten weeks before a semester. After a complete file is found admissible, the page describes an emailed offer, a tuition-deposit deadline generally allowing up to three weeks, and then issuance of the PAL and official admission letter after payment. These are institutional processing statements, not study-permit approval or a guaranteed deferral.

NWP's degree page describes local four-year bachelor's routes. These are in business administration, computing science, elementary education and secondary education. It listed Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Social Work as coming in 2026/2027. The page separately describes the collaborative Bachelor of Science in Nursing. It also describes university-transfer study that begins at NWP for one or two years. You should verify who controls application, registration and later-year tuition for the chosen route. It may be NWP or a partner.

Computer Systems Technology is a useful example with a set scope. Its diploma page needs a high-school diploma. It also needs at least 50% in Mathematics 30-1 and English 30-1, or accepted equivalents. The curriculum joins software development with hardware, problem solving, networking and data communications. Second-year options include computer graphics, image processing, digital hardware and networking. These facts apply to this diploma. They do not define every computing program.

Transfer and collaborative language does not promise automatic progression. It does not promise recognition or admission at a receiving institution. The general requirements page notes one example. University of Alberta Commerce does not admit directly to year one. It requires a competitive pre-professional year. That year is for consideration for year two. Check the intended receiving institution and program. Do this before you select NWP courses. Keep written advising records when a later transfer decision matters.

Business Administration Certificate, the first two years of Computer Systems Technology Diploma and first-year Bachelor of Business Administration each have a listed 30-credit annual pattern in the calculator. Domestic and international estimates differ. Use the row that matches the exact program component, student type and year, then add the costs excluded by the calculator. Collaborative later years may use partner-university rates.

Deposits affect timing even when they are applied toward tuition. Domestic students and continuing international students in the same program pay a $250 non-refundable registration deposit. New international students must pay at least $1,500 before receiving the official Letter of Acceptance. If a study permit is denied and official proof is provided, NWP retains a $250 non-refundable portion. It refunds the remainder less applicable bank charges. Most full-time students registered in nine or more credits are automatically enrolled in the extended health and dental plan. Students with alternate extended coverage may opt out by the deadline and must do so each year. NWP directs students who need help planning payment to its Financial Aid team for awards and programs. That invitation does not establish award eligibility, an amount or guaranteed funding; verify each funding route and deadline independently.

Peer tutoring and specialist appointments are separate options listed by the Academic Success Centre. The centre links directly to its appointment calendar and tutoring guidelines. Bring the course instructions, attempted work and a precise question to make the session useful. The published eligibility statement covers currently enrolled NWP students, so prospective applicants should use admissions or advising for pre-enrolment questions.

Accessibility Services supports students with disabilities or medical conditions who meet admission requirements. Supports are tailored to individual needs while maintaining academic standards. The office is on the main floor of the Learning Commons in room F215 and lists weekday hours from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Students can book online or contact the office by phone or email. Current students also have a separate Accommodate system link.

Plan accessibility arrangements before classes, tests or placements create an urgent deadline. Use the prospective-student or current-student route shown by Accessibility Services, then ask what records and lead time apply. Daily campus planning should use Grande Prairie after the August 2026 Fairview wind-down. Confirm whether the program meets at the main campus, Skilled Trades Training Centre or Health Education Centre before arranging transport.

The NWP Wolves field teams in basketball, cross-country running, futsal, golf, hockey, indoor track, soccer and volleyball. Wolves Golf finished top three in its first ACAC season, and a women's hockey team starts play in fall 2026. Indigenous Services offers a connection point on campus with educational opportunities and links to community resources, and the student-led Students' Association (NWPSA) represents students in college decisions.

The Career Services page links to a frequently updated database of part-time and full-time postings from local, provincial and national employers. Search by the skills and credential required, then verify each posting’s closing date, location and application method with the employer. A job-board listing is an opportunity to apply. It is not evidence of placement, hiring, salary or eligibility for a specific applicant.

Career fairs provide another route to employers. Before attending, identify participating organizations, prepare a short introduction and tailor questions to roles that fit the selected program. NWP also links to Alberta career information for labour-market trends, salary guides, training and supports. Use those resources as current planning inputs and check their dates and geographic scope.

Connect these services to program evidence. Computer Systems Technology covers software development, hardware, networking and data communications. Its page names fields such as database applications and PC support. Ask Career Services to review how selected courses and projects demonstrate those skills in a resume or interview. Employer, regulator, certification and immigration requirements still need separate verification for the intended role.
