Calculate tuition from the effective rate

For Regular Studies courses numbered 1000 or 2000, the domestic rate effective May 1 and September 1, 2026 is $114.21 per credit. That is $3,426.30 for 30 credits in tuition alone. The standard international rate in the same table is $676.96 per credit. Books, student fees, labs and other course costs are additional; some post-degree programs have different per-credit rates.

Langara’s fee pages also retain older sample annual budgets. Their sample tuition totals do not match the effective 2026 rate tables. Use the dated per-credit table for a planning calculation and your actual registered courses and invoice for payment. Do not treat a two-semester tuition example as a complete 12-month living budget.

Deposits, payment and refunds

The domestic application fee is $40 and the international fee is $155. For international first-semester students, the deposit is $6,000 through Spring 2027 and $9,000 from Summer 2027. It is due after the offer and before the letter of acceptance, and credits tuition and fees. If course charges exceed the deposit, the balance remains payable.

The first-semester deposit is non-refundable except with proof of an IRCC study-permit refusal. The refund page further requires that refusal to be dated on or after the College application or deferred application, and a deposit-refund request needs approval. Returning international students pay a $1,500 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit two weeks before registration through Spring 2027. No returning-student deposit is required from Summer 2027.

Pay outstanding fees by the published deadline or Langara can drop all registered courses. To seek a course refund, drop the course by its applicable deadline; half-semester courses have shorter refund periods. After that deadline, withdrawal does not produce a refund. International account credits normally stay for the next semester, with refund enquiries handled by Student Accounts.

Bursary and scholarship eligibility

Langara bursaries are based on financial need and donor criteria. General recipients must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, in good academic standing and registered in at least nine credits, or six with a registered disability. Regular Studies students can apply; only limited Continuing Studies programs qualify. One application covers the bursary assessment. Funds arrive near term end and should not be relied on for upfront tuition or books.

Both domestic and international students may qualify for scholarships unless a donor restricts eligibility. The usual general-scholarship GPA threshold is 3.50; departmental scholarships usually use 3.00. Both also require good standing and at least nine credits now and in one of the previous two semesters, reduced to six for a registered disability. Donor rules and specific part-time exceptions still apply. Most awards use transcript selection or faculty recommendation; check whether your award needs an application.

Award deadlines checked September 13

On September 13, the Fall 2026 scholarship and bursary application deadline is September 18, 2026 at 4:00 p.m., with results expected before November ends. Domestic entrance awards and the President’s International Entrance Scholarship show closed. International Regional Entrance Scholarships accept Summer 2027 applications until November 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.; check the individual award’s region and eligibility rules before applying.
