Dawson says technical DEC graduates may enter the workforce or continue to university under certain conditions. Concordia’s CEGEP admissions page gives a concrete receiving-institution route: a pre-university or technical DEC is required, and the CRC requirement varies by program. Concordia also says applicants should check the program’s prerequisites. This is an admission example, not a blanket transfer-credit promise.
For a student considering Dawson Science or a technical DEC, compare the intended university degree’s required CEGEP courses, CRC or other selection measures and any exemptions before choosing a profile. Ask the receiving university how it will assess your actual record; do not treat a technical DEC as automatically equivalent to a pre-university DEC for every degree.
