Price the exact program, then test aid eligibility
Calgary, Alberta
The 2026–27 tuition table provides estimates by program and term; actual registration, mandatory fees, payment timing and funding eligibility remain separate decisions.

Read estimates as estimates
Bow Valley College labels its tuition table as 2026–27 and says tuition and fees are subject to change. Mandatory fees are approximate for full-time enrolment, program tuition is an estimate, and the student's actual bill is calculated from course registrations. Some displayed domestic rates apply to new entrants while continuing students may have different rates. Use the row for the exact program and applicant category, add mandatory and other fees, books, supplies and living costs, then reconcile that plan with the charge shown in MyBVC.
Compare a scoped program example
Published Software Development diploma examples show why one college-wide number would mislead. The domestic table lists four term amounts of $4,496, $4,607, $4,329 and $4,269, totalling the displayed $17,701 estimate. The international table lists $9,849, $10,076, $9,849 and $10,082, totalling $39,856. Other fees may apply. These 2026–27 estimates do not establish the amount due for a different program or registration.
Protect the payment deadline
Payment timing matters even when funding is expected. The College says payments can take up to four days to arrive and must be received in time to hold the class schedule. A student who has applied for a government loan should notify Financial Aid, but approved funding is sent to the student and the student remains responsible for paying the College. Tuition and fees are still due if a loan application is rejected. Bow Valley College scholarships, by contrast, are paid directly to the student account.
Match aid eligibility and windows
Government loans and grants are described for domestic students in eligible post-secondary certificate, diploma, post-diploma or Open Studies study; Alberta residents use Student Aid Alberta and residents of other provinces apply through their province. Entrance awards have term-specific windows: January 1 to April 1 for Spring/Summer starts, May 1 to August 1 for Fall, and September 1 to December 1 for Winter. Award criteria vary and the College warns that an award should not be the sole funding plan because total education costs will likely exceed it.
