Prepare a domestic application
A first-year applicant starts by choosing a program, checking its admission requirements and available intakes, and applying early because programs can fill. The College sends domestic applicants to ApplyAlberta and asks them to have their Alberta Student Number plus high-school course and mark information where applicable. Applying or reapplying to a career program carries a non-refundable $90 fee for domestic applicants and students within Canada. The application is not processed until that fee is paid, including when Pay Later is selected.
Prepare an international file
The international route has its own sequence. Applicants review program and English-language requirements, deadlines and international availability, then apply and provide requested transcripts through the stated channels. The page lists a non-refundable $150 CAD application fee and says processing does not begin until payment. Applicants using an authorized representative must complete the College consent form. Because document delivery rules distinguish official Canadian and pathway transcripts, follow the upload and direct-send instructions in the current application checklist rather than emailing every document by assumption.
Respond to an international offer
An international offer is time-sensitive. The College states that the applicant confirms a place by paying a non-refundable, non-transferable $1,500 CAD confirmation fee. The offer is generally valid for about three weeks; its exact deadline appears in the offer. That payment is distinct from tuition and from the application fee. A prospective student should retain the offer, payment receipt and every condition, then use the College's international instructions for subsequent immigration documentation rather than treating admission as a study-permit decision.
Use program-specific requirements
Requirements remain program-specific. Open Studies, for example, states no formal admission requirements and no application fee, but warns that English proficiency appropriate to the intended subject supports success. Career programs use their own academic, English and sometimes non-academic requirements. Alternative-entry routes also exclude some program groups. The safe workflow is to save the exact program and intake page used, submit the matching applicant route, and monitor the application account for requests or status updates.
