Sault College Tuition and Financial Aid
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Tuition varies by program. A $250 fall deposit is due by mid-June, with the balance in early August.
Tuition and deposits
Sault sets tuition each year under provincial rules and shows exact amounts on each program page and in your acceptance package. For fall, a $250 deposit is due by mid-June with the balance in early August. Winter fees are due by the first Friday in December. A late payment fee of $150 applies and isn't refundable.
Refunds
If you withdraw officially by the last day listed in the Key Dates Calendar, usually day 10, you get your fees back minus a $250 administration fee. International students lose $2,500, or $400 after a visa refusal. After that date, only fees paid for future semesters come back.
OSAP
OSAP is for Ontario residents who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents or protected persons, and it's needs-based. You need to stay full-time and pass at least 60% of your courses. Dropping to part-time can leave you with an overaward to repay. The Student Financial Assistance Office in M1200 takes drop-ins with no appointment.
Scholarships, bursaries and Work Study
The scholarships, bursaries and awards application opens on October 1 in the Student Portal. Scholarships need at least a 3.0 GPA, bursaries are mainly need-based, and awards are often given in March. Entrance Awards apply to fall and winter tuition. Work Study hires students in financial need on campus during the year.
