Distinguish the forms of WIL
Olds College defines WIL as curricular experiential education that integrates academic study with a workplace or practice setting. Its institution page includes formats such as applied research projects, simulations, field placements and co-ops, but the chosen programme determines the actual format and assessment.
Use programme-specific course evidence
The Environmental Science & Technology Diploma identifies a WIL experience in the middle of the programme. Digital Agriculture describes experiential, project-based and work-integrated learning. Those statements establish programme learning components, not a particular employer, wage, placement date or post-graduation job.
Treat jobs and placements as conditional
Students can also apply for separate on-campus roles such as Student Ambassador, tour guide and posted summer employment. Each posting controls eligibility and deadlines.
