Northern College Guide
Northern's four campuses each specialize. Find where your program runs before you plan housing.
Four campuses in northeastern Ontario
Northern College has four campuses in northeastern Ontario. Timmins is home to the Integrated Emergency Services Complex and the Centre of Excellence for Trades and Technology. Haileybury has the Veterinary Sciences Centre and is where the Haileybury School of Mines began. Kirkland Lake hosts welding and water and wastewater programs. Moosonee serves the James Bay area, with Access Centres in more northern communities and distance education across the region.
Dates that repeat each year
Northern takes applications right up until classes start if there's room, but competitive programs fill early. Fall offers come on or after February 1, and you confirm by May 1. The non-refundable $250 deposit for full-time domestic students is due June 15 for fall, and the rest of your fees by the first day of class.
What's published for 2026–27
Tuition and residence rates are published for 2026–27, and Northern updates fees each May. Some amounts, such as Bachelor of Science in Nursing tuition, still show the 2025–26 figure. Applications for the next academic year open in October.
Decision checklist
- Check which campus runs your program.
- Confirm a fall offer by May 1.
