Calculate the correct fee category
Niagara's calculator separates domestic and international full-time programs. The fees page says its result includes tuition, ancillary and program fees where applicable. Select the actual program and academic period instead of applying another student's total to a different course load or residency category.
Separate charges before paying
Ancillary fees are additional to tuition, while program fees cover program-specific materials or activities. Books, parking and living costs require separate planning. The student's fee statement and registration record remain the practical payment source when a general estimate and actual enrolment differ.
Use aid and award filters
OSAP considers applicants for grants and loans and can support eligible education, living and child-care costs. The current Fall 2026 Award Portal requires filters for student type, term, residency and program area. Entries publish their amount and deadline, then specify whether financial need, an OSAP application, an online budget, an application form or additional documents apply.
Budget costs outside the estimate
Ancillary fees support services that can include athletics and recreation, career and job-search services, peer support, health and counselling. Materials and program fees are program-specific. Textbook needs appear after timetable selection in MyNC. Parking requires a permit or daily payment and spaces are limited. International students use the separate international-cost route.
