Choose the application route
NAIT’s degree, diploma and certificate application guidance sends domestic applicants to ApplyAlberta and lists a $115 non-refundable application fee. Program pages state the required high-school courses and grades; competitive programs may add interviews or other requirements. Review equivalencies when your schooling is outside Alberta.
International applicants use NAIT’s international admissions route and must check the program’s international availability, document and English-language requirements. After applying, MyNAIT is used for the To Do List, deadlines, e-letters and conditional-admission documents. Meeting a minimum does not guarantee a seat when a program is competitive.
Use the opening dates and choice order
For domestic degree, diploma and certificate applications, NAIT says fall applications open October 1 for the following September. Winter applications open March 1 for the following January, while spring/summer applications open June 1 for the following May or July. Not every program has every intake. The same guide says a first-choice program receives priority over an optional second choice, so treat that order as a seat-allocation decision.
