Admission requirements attach to the program you select. Prepare your course history and transcripts. Then follow any document instructions shown for the applicant route. Submitting and paying do not establish admission. Meeting a minimum does not establish competitive selection. This applies where a program has limited capacity.

International applications are assessed competitively using factors including grades, English-language proficiency and campus diversity. The international page directs applicants to program options, available intakes, deadlines, current seat availability and PGWP information. Treat each as a live check and use Canadian immigration sources for permit or work authorization decisions.

Build the application file around the program requirement page. Do not use the general checklist alone. Alberta records may transfer through ApplyAlberta. Any requested records that do not transfer still need to follow the Polytechnic’s document route. Save the submitted application, fee receipt and transcript status separately. Each proves a different step. None substitutes for an admission decision.

Availability and admissibility answer different questions. A listed intake can close while documents are being gathered, and an open intake does not waive course, grade, language or applicant-category requirements. Check the availability table again before submission and follow the deadlines and conditions in the applicant record after submission.

Fall 2027 applications open October 1, 2026. Domestic applicants must apply and send unofficial documents by September 7, 2027. They must send official documents by September 15, 2027. International applicants face earlier dates. They must apply by May 1, 2027. They must send official documents and a study permit by August 1, 2027. Each program needs its own application and fee. You can accept only one offer per term.

Business Administration Management is described as a two-year experiential program. It has work-integrated learning opportunities and networking with businesses. The page does not make every opportunity identical. It does not guarantee a placement, wage or job. Before you choose it, compare its current curriculum and WIL language with the general WIL rules.

The catalogue includes certificates, diplomas, degrees, apprenticeships and other study. Similar subject names can lead to different credentials and next steps. Ask the receiving institution or regulator about transfer and professional recognition instead of inferring an outcome from a Polytechnic program title.

Use CIT to test the complete program choice. Confirm its two-year length, CIPS accreditation, current intake status, course sequence and the costs for the applicable year. Accreditation describes this named program. It does not by itself answer admission, professional recognition or immigration questions. Business Administration Management needs the same separate check. Its experiential and networking language describes learning opportunities, not a guaranteed host or job.

When two programs appear close, compare them side by side. Compare the actual credential, required courses, optional choices, delivery and experiential components. Then test the result against the intended next step. That step may be employment, further study or professional recognition. This prevents a broad subject label from standing in for the requirements of the selected program.

Computer Information Technology runs on the main Lethbridge campus, with a fall 2027 intake and a required practicum. For 2026–27, year 1 is estimated at $4,824 tuition, $1,952 fees and $2,100 books and supplies for domestic students. International tuition is $16,824 in year 1 and $20,367 in year 2. You're charged a medical and dental benefit fee unless you show other coverage by the end of the first week of class.

The table reproduces the published domestic and international figures for Computer Information Technology Year 1. These figures apply only to the 2026–27 CIT Year 1 row and should be reconciled with actual registration and the student account.

The PDF explains that Year 1 international tuition is the domestic rate plus $400 per credit. That formula and the CIT example should not be applied to a different program or year without checking its own row and footnotes. Program dates, credit loads, books and other costs can differ, so retain a contingency beyond the published estimate.

Student loans are applied for through the province where the student lived for the 12 months before post-secondary study. The page describes full-time loans for at least nine credits per term in the usual September-to-April period and warns that not every program is eligible under every province's policy. Confirm course load, program eligibility and deadlines with the relevant aid authority.

Award applications open March 1 annually. The current table says entrance applicants apply after accepting the offer and paying any applicable deposit, with a July 15 deadline and early-August notification. Internal awards use institutional criteria while online awards require one application; neither route guarantees an award or full costs.

Counselling is free for students, including registered incoming students. Appointments can be virtual. Published booking routes include the online form, email and the CE 1380 office. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The service closes on weekends and holidays but remains available through summer. The service describes professional confidentiality with limits explained through its privacy guidance. Use emergency or crisis services when immediate help is needed.

Accessibility Services describes one-on-one sessions about academic strategy. These sessions use a student's actual coursework. Topics can include organization, time management and test-taking. They can also include anxiety management, studying, reading and writing. Other topics are note-taking, mathematics and advanced thinking. Ask the access specialist which support fits the documented need. Ask which support fits the selected courses. Discuss labs, placements and fixed attendance when planning accommodations.

Technology training is another accessibility route. An access specialist can help find strategies. They can also assess specialized technology needs. Published examples include text-to-speech and speech-to-text. They also include screen magnification, smart pens and audio recorders. Equipment or training still depends on the individual plan. Listing a tool does not approve it automatically.

Individual counselling sessions are usually scheduled every two to four weeks. Frequency can vary by need. Students needing long-term support may be connected with community services. Give as much notice as possible to cancel or reschedule. Arriving more than 15 minutes late causes cancellation and requires a new appointment.

Wellness Services brings counselling, medical services and gender-based and sexual violence support together, Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with limited virtual evening counselling. Medical services close June through August. Indigenous Services offers academic, career and cultural support, with events such as Frybread Fridays and ribbon skirt workshops. In an emergency, call 911 and then Security at 403-320-3206.

International students should check on their own if a placement needs work authorization. They should also check if the current program is still eligible. This applies to any immigration outcome they are considering. A Polytechnic or PGWP label is not a permit decision. A curriculum requirement does not guarantee a host or placement.

Career Development gives employment resources. But education, WIL and career support do not guarantee a job. They do not guarantee licensure, salary or transfer. Keep program completion evidence and WIL records apart. Keep job-search materials apart. Keep regulator or receiving-institution decisions apart.

Use the program page to identify whether experiential learning is required or optional. Then ask the program contact about prerequisites, placement timing and who secures the host. The general WIL page says a placement may provide financial benefit if paid. That statement is conditional. Build the budget around the published academic costs. Do this unless the specific placement terms confirm compensation.

Career Development can help you prepare applications and employment. The WIL process connects experience to the curriculum. Treat those as related but separate services. Before you accept a placement, confirm schedule, location, supervision, assessment, required checks or equipment, and any effect on course sequencing. Confirm these directly with the program.
