Apply to the exact program and intake

Start with Faire une demande d’admission, then confirm the selected program’s conditions in the directory. The admission dates page is the date source for a particular intake. Dates can differ by program and applicant category, so a past date should not be presented as a future guarantee. For the nursing bridge example, the page lists an Ontario College Diploma in Practical Nursing with a 3.4 GPA (78%) and a diploma less than three years old. After three years, it says licensed practical-nursing work since graduation is required.

Keep copies of the documents requested in the application and check the registrar or admissions service when a transcript, language record or program-specific condition is unclear. This draft does not generalize one requirement across La Cité offerings.

Use the international route when it applies

International applicants have a separate route. La Cité currently lists a non-refundable $350 application fee and a minimum tuition deposit of about $4,000 or $17,000 depending on the admission route. For the September 2027 intake, its 2027–28 deadline table gives March 1, 2027 for the application and March 30, 2027 for the minimum tuition deposit. It gives April 30, 2027 for the study-permit application and expressly excludes highly competitive programs.

International students must upload their study-permit proof through SACO/OCAS five working days before orientation or welcome activities to preserve registration priority. These deadlines and deposit amounts are route-specific planning information, so check the selected program and current international instructions before paying.

Check nursing bridge selection and placement conditions

For the nursing bridge, eligible applicants are ranked by Practical Nursing grades when demand exceeds capacity, with precedence for Ontario residents. English proficiency is essential; studies completed outside Canada require an ICAS assessment. Practical placements are mainly in Ontario and can include days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Before nursing placement, the page requires current immunization, a vulnerable-sector criminal-record check, a fitted N95 mask and recognized 16-hour Standard First Aid with CPR/AED Level C valid for the program. Students must provide written proof that they have no criminal record for placement participation. Successful completion gives access to the NCLEX Next Generation examination for Ontario registered nurses; it does not itself guarantee registration or a licence.
