Before you apply

Applicants choose a program, review its requirements and apply through ApplyAlberta. Prepare an Alberta Student Number, education history, course grades, a personal email and a credit card. Keyano requires a separate application and fee for each program, so a second choice creates another application record and charge.

Application fees and seat deposits

The current application page lists a non-refundable $54 fee per domestic program application and $107 per international program application. An offer requires a separate deposit to hold the place. The page lists $250 for domestic applicants and $5,000 for international applicants, with the international deposit due within 10 business days.

Transcripts by province

Keyano automatically requests transcripts from Alberta, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. Applicants educated elsewhere must ask the previous institution to send an official transcript. They can upload an unofficial copy through MyKeys or email it to Admissions while the official record is arranged. International applicants may also need English proof or an IQAS assessment.

Track your application in MyKeys

MyKeys credentials arrive by email within one to three business days. Use the portal to check status, upload requested documents and read Admissions updates. After all required documents arrive, Keyano states an update is expected within five to ten business days. That processing estimate is not an admission guarantee.

Decision checklist

  • Pay the fee for the correct applicant route.
  • Send transcripts through the stated route.
  • Track documents and status in MyKeys.

Official sources

Open the official page again before applying, accepting an offer, paying, selecting housing, or relying on a transfer or immigration pathway.

Educational guidance only. Requirements, prices, transfers, housing, immigration eligibility, and availability can change; use the official links in this guide before acting.

Plan your next step

Reopen the exact official program page for your intake and applicant category. Save the requirement, cost, campus, and deadline evidence you used, then confirm any uncertainty with the institution.
