Arrange accessibility advising
Accessibility Advising welcomes prospective, full-time and part-time students to discuss accommodation eligibility. An adviser considers experienced barriers and functional limitations during intake and may issue a Letter of Accommodation. Students are not required to disclose a diagnosis. Documentation can support the request, and accommodations must preserve core course or program outcomes.
Book counselling and urgent support
Current students can book accessibility, navigator or counselling appointments through Navigate360; future students call Student Success for accessibility appointments. Georgian offers free, confidential counselling to all Georgian students through virtual and in-person appointments during published weekday hours. Its page also separates after-hours and emergency routes, so an appointment service should not replace urgent help.
Use campus and learning services
The student-services directory routes students to tutoring, learning strategies, library services, health, testing, Indigenous services, peer mentors and the Georgian College Students' Association. Access and delivery can differ by campus or service. Use the named service page and booking method instead of assuming that every support has a staffed office at every location.
Activate Barrie recreation access
At Barrie Campus, a plastic or digital ONEcard is the pass for the Athletics and Fitness Centre, equipment borrowing and event check-in. Full-time student fees must be paid before the fitness membership can be activated. This is a Barrie access rule; students at another campus should check that campus's current facility and membership route.
Join activities at the available campus
GCSA lists clubs and orientation opportunities at all campuses. Its current page places executive elections, promotional crew roles and GCSA business employment at Barrie and Owen Sound; director positions may be available at Owen Sound, Midland, Orangeville and South Georgian Bay. Check the campus label and current posting before planning around an activity or job.
