Register for accessibility support early

Accessible Education Services is free, confidential and voluntary. Fleming asks you to tell the service about a disability as soon as you accept an offer, so accommodations are ready in time. First at Fleming is a two-day transition event for students with disabilities, and you don't need to be registered with the service to attend.

Counselling and academic help

Counsellors offer short-term, solution-focused support for personal, accessibility and academic concerns. Tutoring is free in hundreds of courses: up to 2 hours a week of course-specific tutoring plus unlimited drop-in sessions. Student Success Advisors help with the move to college, college policies and study skills.

Library and research help

The library helps with research planning, citations and academic integrity. You can drop into a virtual reference desk on WebEx or use AskON chat. Its collection includes more than 200,000 e-books and more than 20,000 streaming videos.

Recreation at Sutherland and Frost

Full-time Sutherland students can use the Peterborough Sport and Wellness Centre during the academic year, with three gyms, a weight area, an aquatic centre and an indoor track. Frost students get the Lindsay Recreation Complex, with a six-lane pool, two ice pads and squash courts. Bring your student ID and proof of enrolment to activate either membership. Fleming Phoenix varsity teams include basketball, soccer, volleyball, women's rugby sevens and loggersports.

Getting to campus

Full-time students get a Peterborough Transit pass for the academic year through the student council's transportation program, and five city routes serve Sutherland. GO buses run from Peterborough to Toronto and connect with Oshawa GO trains. Lindsay Transit serves Frost Monday to Saturday, and parking at Haliburton is free.
