Manage registration tasks

After acceptance, Douglas directs students to myAccount for registration. The register-classes page names Find Classes, Enter CRNs, Plans, Cohort Registration where available, Schedule and Options. Students can also use the Browse Classes tool to filter by term, subject, course number, campus, open sections and instructional method.

Arrange accessibility support

Accessibility Services offers consultations and campus contacts at New Westminster and Coquitlam. This profile points to the official service page for current hours and access arrangements rather than assuming a student’s accommodation needs.

Use counselling within its scope

Douglas Counselling Services provides free, accessible and confidential individual or group support and workshops for personal, career and academic concerns. Services have limitations for students currently outside British Columbia, so use the linked resources for other options rather than assuming equivalent remote access.

Counselling is not the emergency route. If someone is in danger or there is an immediate safety concern, the page directs students to call 911 and notify Douglas College Security when on campus.

Use recreation and library facilities

The New Westminster Fitness Centre in N1315 is free for Douglas students and employees. Before a first visit, complete the informed-consent waiver; bring a physical Douglas student or staff ID each time because a spoken ID number is not accepted. At Coquitlam, register at Pinetree Community Centre using Douglas ID and a myAccount login to obtain the activity card required for recreational services.

Library group rooms are for currently registered students. The current study-spaces page lists six rooms at New Westminster and six at Coquitlam, with bookings up to two hours per day, twice a week and one week ahead. A room not occupied within 15 minutes becomes available to someone else. The page also lists quiet areas, online-course carrels, private study booths and media rooms; check the location and equipment before booking.

Find DSU clubs and services

Student clubs and collectives are administered by the Douglas Students' Union, which operates at both campuses but is separate from the College. Use its current directory to join or start a group. The College page also identifies DSU services including its health-and-dental plan, locker rentals and emergency food bank; eligibility and terms belong to the DSU.
