Choose the applicant category

Douglas defines domestic credit applicants as legal residents of Canada and international credit applicants as people who are not legal residents of Canada. Continuing Education and Training Group applications serve different short-term study purposes, so choose the category that matches the course or credential you want.

Check the CSIS math requirements

For the named Computing Studies and Information Systems Diploma example, applicants need the general College Admission Requirements plus one of Pre-calculus 11, Foundations of Math 11 or an equivalent, with a C or better. Course registration has separate math requirements. MATH 1160 needs Pre-calculus 11 or Foundations of Math 11 at B or better or equivalent. MATH 1130 or BUSN 2429 needs Pre-calculus 12 or Foundations of Math 12 at C or better, or equivalent.

Separate application and immigration dates

Application and immigration dates are separate. When checked September 13, 2026, Douglas listed September 30, 2026 for international Winter 2027 applications and January 31, 2027 for Summer 2027. A limited-enrolment program can fill earlier, while open-enrolment programs can remain open until seats fill.

International applicants must also track the study-permit confirmation and refund-or-deferral deadlines for their intake. Douglas's current pages conflict for Winter 2027. The international deadline page’s general Winter table lists December 28 for both actions. The College dates page lists December 8 for study-permit confirmation and December 18 for a new student's partial-refund or deferral request. Ask International Admissions which deadline controls and follow the earlier published date until Douglas reconciles them. Both pages use April 25 for the Summer actions. The College dates page separately says Fall 2027 applications open through EducationPlanner BC on October 1, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
