The current program page describes a 60-credit, two-year diploma at New Westminster with full-time and part-time formats and Fall, Summer and Winter offerings. The page says students can study systems and networking concepts, programming languages and business courses.

Plan the optional co-op route

Co-operative Education is optional. The program page says students who take the option complete 9 additional COOP 1100 credits, graduate with 69 credits and should plan two semesters ahead. This is a program-specific option, not a college-wide placement promise. The program footnote states that the work term is at least 420 hours, must be taken through Douglas Co-op, can begin only after two semesters and 18 credits, and cannot be the last semester.

Douglas's current co-op page lists the CSIS diploma among programs offering co-op and describes the work experience as full-time and paid. It also says students return for at least one full-time academic term after the work term. The current sources conflict on the pre-work credit threshold. The CSIS catalogue footnote says the term can begin after at least two semesters and 18 credits. The general Co-op page says students complete at least 27 credits before beginning. Ask the Co-op Office which threshold applies to the current CSIS cohort. Neither source guarantees a position.
