Apply through Ontario Colleges
Canadian applicants apply online through Ontario Colleges, choosing up to five programs with no more than three at one college, for a $150 fee per college year. You need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (DESO in French) or equivalent, such as ACE. If you're 19 or older without one, you can be admitted as a mature student if you meet the program's own requirements. Conditional offers are withdrawn if you don't meet the conditions before classes start.
Limited-enrolment programs
Seven limited-enrolment programs need your application and documents by February 1: the business administration and computer science bachelor's and honours degrees, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Veterinary Technician and Medical Radiation Technology. Ontario residents get priority, then other Canadians, then international applicants. Boréal reviews waitlists after May 1, so it suggests confirming another program while you wait.
Language requirements
Programs are taught in French, and Boréal says English skills are often needed too. If you don't have Ontario high-school English or an equivalent, you'll write a recognized English placement test. Depending on your Canadian Language Benchmark level, you may need one to five mandatory ESL courses, each 14 weeks and taught live on Teams.
International applicants
International applicants apply through the Ontario Colleges international portal, choosing up to two programs and paying a $350 fee. Documents must be certified and in French or English. There's no deadline, but Boréal recommends applying at least three months ahead: June 1 for fall or October 1 for winter. If you didn't study in French, you'll need a recognized French test.
