The ICS diploma requires one listed English option and one listed mathematics option. English alternatives include C in English 12, the Camosun Alternative or ENGL 130. Mathematics alternatives include C+ in Pre-calculus 11; C in Math 12 or Apprenticeship Math 12; C+ in MATH 073, 077 or 137; or C in MATH 097 or 139.

Use the applicant route that matches your status. Send official records and certified translations when they are required. Watch for document, offer and registration instructions. Ask Admissions before you treat study from another institution as a prerequisite equivalent.

The program information says project-based learning and work-integrated learning through an internship are available. The department describes an internship as an opportunity. Confirm the current option with the program. Also confirm eligibility and timing. Do this before you plan around it.

Match the search to the selected program before choosing a neighbourhood. Camosun identifies Interurban in Saanich and Lansdowne in Saanich and Oak Bay, while noting that Greater Victoria municipality names are often used interchangeably. Test the bus, bicycle or driving time to the correct campus. A lower rent farther from Saanich or Victoria can add transportation time and cost, so compare the complete trip rather than the listing's city label.

View the accommodation before agreeing to rent or paying, or ask someone you trust to view it. Camosun says an in-person long-term search can help avoid scams and suggests temporary accommodation while searching. Public listing sites are leads only: Camosun does not inspect units or interview landlords, and its main housing page does not endorse or guarantee third-party accuracy, legality, privacy or security. Rental applicants can prepare a cover letter, references and Renting it Right certificate; landlords cannot charge an application fee.

Read the written tenancy agreement before signing, keep a copy, and ask how notice or early departure affects rent. Confirm utilities, internet, parking, pets and whether new roommates can be added.

For tenancies covered by the cited BC rules, Camosun's guide says a security deposit can be no more than half one month's rent. A permitted pet deposit can also be up to half a month's rent. Discuss rent, bills, chores and guests with every roommate before committing. Its rights page warns that the provincial Residential Tenancy Act does not cover every arrangement, including a common example where a tenant shares a kitchen or bathroom with the owner. Use the current BC tenancy resources linked there for the agreement that applies to you.

Camosun Library gives research help. It has computers and study space. It offers borrowing services and an academic-integrity course. Before you travel or book study time, check the library's current campus hours and access rules.

Current Camosun students and employees get free access to fitness centres at Lansdowne Y116 and Interurban LACC109. Students can book workout sessions and register for classes. With valid student ID, students can request two free personal-training sessions and borrow listed recreation equipment. Current schedules and statutory-holiday closures still apply.

Camosun's health and wellness services include counsellors. They also include substance-use education and support for sexual violence and misconduct. Applied learning clinics let students in health programs practise with real clients. Those clients get treatment at affordable rates. The Centre for Accessible Learning arranges academic accommodations and accommodated exams. These are for students who self-identify with a documented, diagnosed disability.

Indigenous Advisors help with program planning, Band funding and supports for Inuit and Métis students, and cultural connection, and you reach them through an Indigenous Advisor contact form. The Elders' Initiative brings community Elders to support students away from home. When we checked on October 3, 2026, the page said the Indigenous Counsellor was on leave.

Camosun has run varsity sport since 1994, and its teams compete as the Camosun Chargers. Athletics and Recreation also runs the free fitness centres, fitness classes and personal training.

Co-op and Career Services offers career exploration and planning, cover-letter and résumé help, interview preparation and job-search strategies. Use the current service and job-board routes, while treating employment and work-term results as competitive outcomes.

Camosun’s transfer-credit page evaluates postsecondary study from recognized Canadian institutions; IB, AP and approved study-abroad coursework follow separate handling, and U.S. transcripts are case by case. Courses over 10 years old are not automatically eligible, graduate or higher-level courses do not receive undergraduate transfer credit, and course descriptions do not replace syllabi.

Submit official final-grade transcripts, syllabi and the required payment. The published processing clock is up to eight weeks after all necessary documents and payment are received, with no expedited service; complex assessments requiring other departments may take significantly longer. Overdue fees block evaluation.

Listed evaluation fees are $50 per B.C. transcript (including Athabasca, Yukon, AP and IB), $80 elsewhere in Canada and $100 outside Canada. Any destination university makes its own admission and credit decision.
