Accessibility at the Glenn Crombie Centre
The Glenn Crombie Centre for Accessibility, Counselling and Wellness offers free, confidential support. Accessibility services include testing accommodations, assistive technology, learning strategies, classroom supports and access to bursaries. Bring your IEP, a recent psycho-educational assessment, medical records and any past accommodation letters. Book an appointment once you decide to apply, even if you don't have documentation.
Counselling and mental health
Counsellors offer free short-term personal counselling for stress, grief, relationship breakdowns and trauma, plus career assessments if you think you're in the wrong program. On-campus support runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and external 24/7 supports are listed. Students can also use the TalkCampus peer support app free with their student email.
Learning Centre
The Learning Centre offers tutoring in math, science, English and writing, peer tutoring for specific classes, and workshops on research, time management and study skills. A learning strategist can help you find study methods that work for you.
Athletics Centre
The Athletics Centre is free for full-time students through ancillary fees. It has a 6,000-square-foot weight room, two international squash courts, a double gym, a cardio room and saunas, and it's open seven days a week.
Wabnode Centre for Indigenous students
The Wabnode Centre for Indigenous services offers cultural and spiritual activities, academic advice, counselling and help with scholarships and community funders. Elders and staff support students throughout their studies. You can self-identify when you apply or later in myCambrian.
