Fees by program and semester

Cambrian sets fees by academic year and publishes them by program, semester and student group. In 2026–27, a domestic Practical Nursing student pays $2,572.01 in the first semester, including compulsory ancillary fees. Program pages show an estimated first-year cost, such as $4,289.49 for Computer Systems Technology (Security), but Cambrian says these are projections.

The $250 deposit

You must pay your term deposit by the deadline to keep your seat and pick your timetable when registration opens. OSAP won't pay the $250 deposit for you. Cambrian's refund policy follows provincial rules and is posted in myCambrian.

OSAP

OSAP combines provincial and federal grants and loans based on your financial need. Once your enrolment is confirmed, Cambrian requests the lesser of your balance or your OSAP to go straight to your fees. Check myCambrian to make sure your fees are paid in full. Switching programs often or dropping to part-time can affect your OSAP.

Scholarships and bursaries

Cambrian offers more than $2,000,000 in scholarships and bursaries, and you don't need a perfect GPA. Registered students fill out the Awards Survey in myCambrian to see what they qualify for. New full-time students starting a Cambrian degree in September 2026 get an automatic $1,000 scholarship, and could get another $1,000 in semester 2 by keeping a 75% average. Schulich Builders scholarships support eligible skilled trades students.

International costs and refunds

International tuition runs about $11,000 to $20,000 a year, including mandatory health insurance, and first-semester fees are due before you apply for a study permit. International students aren't eligible for OSAP. If your Provincial Attestation Letter or study permit is refused, Cambrian refunds your fees minus an administrative fee, listed as $200 on the page and $250 in its FAQ. Refunds can take up to 12 weeks.
