Apply through ontariocolleges.ca

All applications go through ontariocolleges.ca, and Cambrian makes the decision. You can apply to up to five programs, with up to three at Cambrian, and Ontario Colleges charges a non-refundable $150 fee. After you apply, Cambrian emails you a link to your myApplication account, where you'll see missing requirements and offers. Applications received by February 1 get equal consideration for September. For January and May starts, email info@cambriancollege.ca for the date.

Limited and open enrolment

Open enrolment programs have no seat limit and aren't considered highly competitive. Limited enrolment programs are the competitive ones, and Cambrian describes their admission benchmarks on its site. If you're 19 or older before classes start and don't have an OSSD, you apply as a mature student, but you still need the program's required courses. Cambrian can help you find ways to earn missing credits.

Accepting an offer and waitlists

Accept your offer on ontariocolleges.ca by the confirmation date in myApplication, or it may expire. Clear any conditions and pay your term deposit by the deadline. If you're waitlisted, the strongest candidates get offers as seats open, and you can accept another program and still stay on the waitlist. If you don't meet the requirements, Cambrian may consider you for a related program.

International applicants

International students apply directly or through an agency. Transcripts must be official notarized documents, and anything not in English needs a certified translation and an evaluation by a certified credential evaluator. Diplomas and certificates need IELTS Academic 6.0 with no band below 5.5 or equivalent. Graduate certificates and degrees need 6.5 with no band below 6.0. The English for Academic Purposes program is an option if you fall short.

Decision checklist

  • Apply by February 1 for September.
  • Check myApplication for missing requirements.
  • Accept your offer before it expires.
