Career Services drop-ins and advising
Career Services works with students, recent graduates and employers. Kingston and Cornwall run drop-in hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 3 p.m., first come, first served. Brockville is served by virtual appointment only. Advisers help with resumes, cover letters and job searches.
Job boards and on-campus jobs
Career Services posts resume and cover letter guides, mock interview bookings and an interview worksheet. The SLC Total Hire job board lists full-time, part-time, contract and seasonal jobs across Eastern Ontario. You can also apply for on-campus student jobs, including paid peer tutoring.
Placement requirements
St. Lawrence reports 5,500 student placements. Your program page lists any immunization or police check you need before placement, and you can email immunizations@sl.on.ca with questions. Career help doesn't guarantee a placement or a job.
Pathways after graduation
St. Lawrence's pathways can shorten a degree after your diploma. Each agreement sets its own requirements, so contact pathways@sl.on.ca and check ONTransfer before counting on credit.
Decision checklist
- Use drop-in hours for a resume review.
- Check placement health and police checks early.
