Apply through ontariocolleges.ca
Domestic applicants apply through ontariocolleges.ca, which opens in October. Ontario Colleges charges a non-refundable $150 fee for up to five program choices, with no more than three at one college. St. Lawrence counts your application complete only when the fee and all documents arrive. Current Ontario high-school students ask guidance to send transcripts. Everyone else sends them through ontariocolleges.ca, except Ontario college or university transcripts, which go straight to St. Lawrence admissions.
Competitive programs rank applicants
Applications received by February 1 get equal consideration. After that, it's first come, first served. For 2027, St. Lawrence lists the Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Communicative Disorders Assistant, Medical Laboratory Science and Practical Nursing as highly competitive. Those programs rank applicants, and you need at least two prerequisite courses finished by February 1 to be ranked. Waitlists start in early March. Ontario residents get priority, then other Canadians, then applicants from other countries.
Who can apply
You need an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent with most Grade 11 and 12 courses at college or university level, including Grade 12 English (C, U or M) and a Grade 11 math. If you're 19 or older by the first day without a diploma, you can apply as a mature student and write an entrance exam if you lack the courses. Indigenous applicants can use a facilitated admission route for competitive programs by sending a form by February 1.
Offers, acceptance and your deposit
St. Lawrence emails offers and posts conditions in the slc.me portal. Accept on ontariocolleges.ca by May 1, 2027 for September. Pay the $500 domestic deposit so it's received by June 15 or the date in your offer email. Conditional offers are revoked if you don't meet the condition by the slc.me due date. Paying for residence doesn't hold your program seat.
International applicants
International applicants use the St. Lawrence International Application Service portal and can apply year-round. Upload your passport, certified and translated transcripts, diploma and English proof, then pay a non-refundable $100 fee through Flywire. Go back and click Submit, or the college won't receive it. Your Letter of Acceptance sets a deadline to accept and pay. Apply for a study permit ideally at least four months before classes.
